Now Serving Over 10,000 Customers!

Friday, September 15th marked a monumental occasion for us at WTC, as we celebrated a milestone achievement. We are now proudly serving high-speed Fiber Internet to over 10,000 customers!

We recognize that this accomplishment would not be possible without our loyal customers in the wonderful communities we serve, and our dedicated employee team. It has truly taken an ecosystem of growth for a local company like WTC to achieve such heights.

Thank you to all who have welcomed and supported WTC on its way to providing the area with top-tier Fiber Optic service and friendly, knowledgeable customer support.

Though the road to 10,000+ Fiber Optic customers started with our humble beginnings as a telephone service provider back in 1912, WTC has seen remarkable growth, specifically over the last 7 years.

This growth was due in part to our Board of Directors’ vision to take service to several new markets. Over a few short years, we built Fiber to Alma, Maple Hill, Rossville, and Manhattan businesses & apartments. New partnerships formed between WTC and these communities, as they welcomed us with open arms.

Another factor in our recent growth has been the State of Kansas’ mission to expand broadband access across the state. This initiative has allowed WTC to earn several broadband grants, which have enabled us to expand our network to places where it would not have otherwise been feasible.

We are a grateful recipient of these grants, as they allow our local company to serve Kansans who were previously outside our footprint and without adequate broadband access. We cannot say thank you enough to the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Office of Broadband Development for allowing WTC to play a role in this vital initiative. 

While taking pride in this 10,000 customer milestone, we are eager for what the future holds. We cherish the opportunity to continue providing the best possible service to our 10,000+ current customers, and the new ones we will gain along the way.
