2025 at WTC Fiber: Growth, Giving, and Connection

2025 was a big year at WTC Fiber. From major fiber milestones to community celebrations, everything we accomplished was aimed at one goal: helping our customers and communities stay connected now and for the future.

Here's a look back at some of the highlights:

Fiber Network Expansion

Behind the scenes, our teams continued expanding and strengthening the network across our service areas. That means faster speeds, improved reliability, and a network built to keep up with growing demand. This year, we:

• Placed more than 1.3 million feet of fiber

• Passed 7,500 more homes with fiber availability

• Surpassed 15,000 Internet customers

• Transitioned every WTC Fiber connection to 100% fiber service

Faster Speeds and Easier Setup

We introduced several updates in 2025 to make service faster and more convenient.

4 Gig Internet speeds became available, giving customers more flexibility for streaming, gaming, remote work, and smart home technology. We also added more Quick Connect homes and apartments, allowing same-day service activation at eligible locations, and introduced self-scheduling installation appointments so customers can choose a time that works best for them.

Investing in the Communities We Serve

Giving back is a key part of who we are. In 2025, WTC Fiber donated and sponsored $258,500 in support of local organizations, events, and initiatives throughout our service areas.

That commitment was recognized with the 2025 Business Philanthropy Award from the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, an honor we were proud to receive.

We also expanded free public Wi-Fi in Manhattan at several popular locations, including Manhattan Town Center, Blue Earth Plaza, and Manhattan Regional Airport. These sites now offer convenient connectivity for residents and visitors in shared community spaces.

More Ways to Enjoy WTCtv

Sports fans got a new way to watch in March with the launch of Quadcast. This feature allows customers to watch four live games on one screen at the same time, making busy game days easier to enjoy. 

Staying Connected Beyond the Network

WTC Fiber stayed active throughout the year by supporting and participating in local events across our service area. Highlights included Players & Pizza with K-State athletes, food truck events, and community sponsorships.

We also continued our tradition of social media giveaways, including our year-end 5 Days of Giving, as a way to say thank you to our customers and followers.

113 Years of Service

In February, WTC Fiber celebrated 113 years of service. While technology continues to evolve, our commitment remains the same: providing reliable communication services and supporting the communities we call home.
